Advanced customization of your frame for a perfect fit
Even if we like a design, the frame may not fit perfectly. In most cases, we see two issues:
❶ The frame can slide down, sometimes touching the cheeks, due to a bridge that is too wide or nose pads that are too small.
In such cases, the temples are often bent behind the ears to keep the frame close to the face and prevent slipping. However, this can create a second issue.
❷ Especially with prescription lenses, the lenses may end up too close to the eye (cornea), which can cause visual distortion (recommended distance: 12–14 mm).
At L'ŒIL DE TOKYO, we offer advanced customization options to perfectly adjust the positioning of each frame.

Type 1: Titanium temples with nose pads
LIGHTNESS
The nose pad bridge is ideal for low nose bridges: it raises the frame and moves the lenses away to achieve the optimal comfort distance (12 mm). Three sizes of titanium temples are available depending on the model and facial morphology. Flexible, they provide adaptability and a feeling of lightness. In return, the frame may shift slightly during movement, which may bother those seeking more stability.

Type 2: Adjustable-height acetate nose pads
STABILITY
The bridge with adjustable-height acetate nose pads also raises the frame and moves the lenses away from the eye to achieve the optimal comfort distance (12 mm). Unlike nose pads, this solution does not compromise balance: the frame stays in direct contact with the nose and does not wobble. However, it does not provide the same feeling of lightness.
